Packaging/repo improvements
Just some improvements to the packaging/repo itself. Some useful, some petty. Of note is the upgrade from Python 3.7 to 3.11 for Bookworm as well as the migration to pyproject.toml.
How to register an account on GitLab. To prevent spam, new accounts are locked until approved by an admin or the approver bot. You can also file an unlock request to expedite access.
